
Meet Michelle
My Pilates Journey
My name is Michelle Holtom and Intrinsic Alignment is my boutique Pilates Studio at Kingscliff,
​
I have always had a keen interest in fitness but when I discovered Pilates, my mindset gradually
started to shift. My focus on health and fitness began to include moving well, staying strong and
mobile and living my best life. And my best life included a commitment to teach Pilates and help
others live their best life.

I started studying in 2014 and have a Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction and a keen interest
in Women's Health, Active Ageing and Hypermobility. I recognise the importance of lifelong learning
and keeping up to date in my field.

Since completing my Diploma with Pilates International Training Centre, I have undertaken additional
professional development training including:
​
1. In 2022 I completed a 6 month intensive mentorship program with Lisa Jackson to gain a deeper understanding of the lumbo-pelvic hip complex in relation to movement and programming within the Pilates Studio.
2. In 2023 I undertook the Advanced Buff Bones® Instructor training program which allows me to offer osteoporosis safe training options and Buff Bones® classes.
3. Pelvic Floor Safe Exercise is another of my interests and I have undertaken several training courses including the Continence Australia Course and Your Pelvic Matters teacher training.
4. Pregnancy and Post-Natal Pilates with Lisa Jackson.
5. Lumbar Disc Herniation and the Pilates Method with Lanette Gavran.
6. Hypermobility and the Pilates Client with Kerry Etkin
7. Pilates and Parkinson's Disease
8. Pilates and Scoliosis
9. I also have a keen interest in Anatomy and have undertaken the Anatomy Dimensions Series developed by Carla Mullins.
10. In 2024 I have undertaken the Stretch Therapy for Pilates Training Course - APPI

I specialise in teaching Private clients at my studio in Kingscliff. However, I also teach
group reformer and equipment studio classes at a couple of studios in the Northern Rivers.

I am a “hands-on” instructor and am committed to sharing the benefits of Pilates with everybody.
I truly believe that Pilates is for “Every Body” but that not every body is the same. Everyone can
benefit from a personalised Pilates program and I am passionate about helping you achieve your
personal health and fitness goals and making a positive changes to your life.
